How many celebrities have their very own fragrance? Looks like Justin Timberlake wanted to be in that group. This week, he teamed up with Givenchy to create a new fragrance, Play. This isn't your typical celebrity fragrance collaboration, though. When Givenchy first approached Justin, he actually declined saying that he didn't wear much cologne. He admits, "I think, honestly hey took it as a challenge to create something that I would really want to wear."
He added, "I'm sort of a minimalist, quintessential male. I like pretty fresh, clean scents. I don't like a barrage of smell, so I started talking about how do you achieve that fresh, clean scent? And they 'learned me' about citrus and wood flavors that you kind of add in to create that type of aroma. It's actually really fascinating how they do it."
Being green is also a goal for J.T apparently. He claims, "I sort of feel like nothing should take away from pheromones, because it's been chemically proven that those are the most attractive scents on people."
The result?
Justin says they have come up with a cologne that is "youthful and fun," and "sensual." The scent is available now at Macy's and Sephora.
